Job summary

California Teaching Fellows Foundation in Fresno, CA is seeking a dedicated coordinator to manage substitute placement for after‑school tutoring programs. You will work with site staff to understand daily needs, maintain tutor schedules, and assign qualified substitutes based on subject expertise and school requirements.

Your role includes recruitment and interviewing, payroll support, intersession staffing, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business management or administration preferred.
• 3–5 years of related nonprofit/educational experience preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate groups, and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid California driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate substitute placement with site staff and assign qualified tutors.
• Maintain tutoring schedules with subject, grade level, and requirements.
• Communicate assignment details and instructions to substitutes.
• Assist with HRIS, interviews, and new hire placement.
• Support payroll processes and timesheet approvals.
• Support intersession hiring and onsite staffing supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
