Job summary

Alameda Boys & Girls Club is seeking an Assistant Program Director to provide on-the-floor leadership, support staff, and supervise youth activities across programs for ages 6-18. This hands-on role requires walking and standing during program hours and direct involvement in safety and curriculum planning.

The candidate will supervise operations in the absence of the Program Director, lead Friday Assemblies, coordinate staff training, and maintain positive relationships with youth and families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years in youth development or related field.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily program operations, safety, and staff/volunteer management.
• Lead and support youth programming; direct opening/closing tasks.
• Supervise on-site when Program Director is absent and lead assemblies.
• Coordinate staff schedules, conduct meetings, and participate in staff training.
