Job summary

Arc Experience provides before and after school programs for youth throughout Southern California. We are looking for an Assistant Site Coordinator who will work directly with students and support school staff with lesson planning, attendance tracking, and grant compliance.

The position is part-time with morning and afternoon shifts, focusing on safety, enrichment activities, and student engagement. English-Spanish bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in after-school programs or youth recreation, esp. in diverse communities.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• TB test and Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
• Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
• Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
