Job summary

The Salvation Army – Henderson Corps is seeking a Youth Worker to lead and assist with youth programs across Sunday School, worship services, fellowship, and outreach. The role requires experience with children in a church setting, strong judgment, and a heart for diverse youth communities.

The position includes coordinating youth activities, meals, and attendance with parents and schools, while upholding Salvation Army policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years experience working with children in a Corps/Church setting or a two-year college degree in Youth Ministries or Christian Education.
• Must be a Christian with a strong personal commitment to Christ and lifestyle.
• Experience with Salvation Army Christmas programs preferred.
• Knowledge of Salvation Army Policies and Procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with youth programs including Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, fellowship, visitation, Bible studies, outreach, young adults, After School, and Summer Day Camp.
• Coordinate and drive youth programs and events, prepare and cook meals and snacks, and coordinate attendance with parents and schools.
