Job summary

The Salvation Army Lawrence Corps seeks a Corps Ministry Assistant to support youth programs and events, mentor young people, and assist the Corps Officers in daily operations.

You will help oversee Sunday School, summer camps, youth group meetings, and transportation needs, while upholding Army standards and fostering a safe, supportive environment for participants and volunteers alike.

Qualifications

• Must uphold Biblical standards in personal and professional life.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be 21+ years of age and able to drive a 12-passenger van.
• Reading and writing in English; follow policies of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the full scope of the program, including social services, food pantry, youth programs.
• Oversee all children’s and youth programs, including Sunday School and summer activities.
• Lead weekly Youth Group meetings for high school age participants.
• Ensure safety and supervision of all youth participants; prevent unattended children.
• Assist with transportation needs and organize special events calendar.
