Job summary

The Salvation Army GAINS Program is seeking a Group Leader III to support Corps Officers and Program Directors in daily operations of the School-Age Child Care program. You will help carry out the mission, supervise children, and provide leadership to staff as needed.

You will attend leadership meetings, assist with lesson plans, and maintain safety and welfare of all participants during activities and camps.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 months experience in youth or camp programming.
• Leadership interest or prior peer leadership is desirable.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to work part-time on school days and full-time on non-school days.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in the total program and daily operations across activities.
• Promote ethical code for children and staff.
• Attend orientation and parent meetings; contribute to leadership meetings.
• Plan and conduct staff meetings and coordinate daily assembly as assigned.
• Lead and guide assigned children and staff, ensuring health and happiness.
