Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking a Child and Youth Services team leader to guide program staff in delivering developmentally appropriate care for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years old. You will develop lesson plans, supervise staff, and ensure safety, health, and appropriate activities across indoor and outdoor settings.

The role requires English communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant DoW or CDA/MSA credentials or education in child development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a team leader with responsibility for ensuring the program staff provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years in CYS programs.
• Promotes social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth through developmentally appropriate programs and activities.
• Instructs team members with written instructions, references, and supplies; develops, plans and implements age-appropriate educational lesson plans and schedules.
• Ensures health and safety standards in diapering, toileting, hand washing, cleaning/disinfecting, food service, safe sleep, and care of ill children and youth.

Education

DoW standardized training or CDA/MSA credential

Education in early childhood development or related field
