Job summary

The Lowell Association for the Blind seeks a part-time Youth Program Coordinator to manage youth services, internships, transportation, and administrative tasks in the Merrimack Valley.

You will oversee programs for ages 5–22, coordinate referrals with schools and agencies, and supervise staff and volunteers while maintaining records. Fluency in Spanish is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience working with youth and teens preferred; working with blind/VI youth is a plus but not required.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and most weekends.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CORI background check required.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events, field trips, and workshops for all youth programs.
• Develop materials, curriculum, and activities for youth programs.
• Recruit participants and coordinate referrals with schools and agencies.
• Link with other Greater Lowell area agencies to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate transportation for participants and drive the agency van.
• Supervise volunteers and staff; maintain attendance and billing records.
• Create program materials and informational publications.
• Report to the Executive Director.
