Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme is seeking a full-time Youth Program Associate to plan, implement, and supervise activities for youth. You will assist with daily site operations, promote participation, and model positive behavior for members.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, ensuring safety, and supporting families. CPR and First Aid certifications are required; a high school diploma is essential and a state driver’s license is recommended.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma / GED.
• Minimum 1 year of service with BG COP, or similar role/program.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to deal with the general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success.
• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Register new members and assist in orientation; provide guidance and role modeling.
• Ensure programs are organized/professional and reflect BGCA philosophies.
• Provide support to youth and families at all times.
