Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme seeks a Unit Director to lead the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center, overseeing daily operations, staff, and budget to deliver outcome-driven programs for youth.

You will supervise staff, manage grants and partnerships, ensure safety, and collaborate with leadership to develop programs like Brent's Club and Torch Club, while maintaining member records and community relations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.
• Proven ability to work with youth, parents and community leaders.
• Experience supervising staff, facilities management, and budget oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Club programs, activities, and services to prepare youth for success using BGCA programming.
• Supervise grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Perform site quality assessments and develop staff development plans.
• Maintain safe facilities and manage budget and equipment.
• Develop partnerships with schools, community leaders, and organizations.
