Qualifications

  • One year of leadership experience in recreation, education, child care, or community service settings.
  • Successful completion of college-level courses with major coursework in recreation, education, child development, gerontology, or closely related fields may substitute for experience.
  • Proof of education such as transcripts or degrees should be submitted with the application and will be required at appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop recreation, educational enrichment, child care, special events, or community programs and activities.
  • Instruct children, adolescents, and adults in various activities, events, and programs.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate assigned staff; supervise site operations and safety measures.
  • Maintain records and develop monthly status reports.
  • Coordinate field trips, guest speakers, and overall program coordination.
