YMCA’s Waukee Family YMCA seeks a Youth Development Director to oversee high‑quality, engaging youth and family programs in Waukee, IA. You will supervise staff and volunteers, ensure safety, and collaborate with community partners to meet the needs of families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, human services, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years in program management, preferably nonprofit.
• 1+ year supervisory/leadership experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required before start.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise program areas to meet community needs and ensure safety.
• Develop and implement new programs; expand participation.
• Budgeting and scheduling for the assigned area.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate marketing with the association staff.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations.
• Oversee program registrations and facilities usage.
• Attend meetings and support fundraising activities.
