Job summary

Boys And Girls Clubs Of Greater Kansas City is seeking a capable professional to oversee the delivery of diverse youth programs across the Club. The role includes planning, development, implementation, staff supervision, and maintaining strong communication with parents and community partners.

Reporting to the Unit Director, the incumbent will guide program directors, manage day-to-day operations, ensure safety, and support volunteers while fostering engaging activities for members aged 5 to 18.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and one year experience or five years directly related work experience
• Experience with program planning, delivery and implementation
• Management and supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and solid interpersonal skills
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification
• Experience with youth development work

Responsibilities

• Organizes, directs and implements programming across Core Program Areas
• Provides instruction to youth and oversees program staff
• Maintains relationships with outside groups and reports to Unit Director
• Facilitates staff meetings and assists with volunteers
• Assists with community relations, staff training and program evaluation
• Researches and implements youth programs for ages 5–18
• Ensures programs are carried out and provides guidance services to members
• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Club
• Supports hiring of program staff and staff development
