Job summary

Maryland Military Department seeks a Child and Youth Program Coordinator to provide operational, educational, and administrative support for the CYS program under a federal cooperative agreement. The role executes life skills training, deployment cycle support, and community outreach for ARNG dependents ages 6-18.

Under supervision of the Lead CYPC, the position conducts reporting, and ensures program success per grant requirements, with a compressed Tue-Fri schedule and occasional weekend

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
• Substitutions: 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university may be substituted for one year of required experience; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.
• Military service experience with staff work and independent judgment can be substituted year-for-year for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education and youth development for school-aged ARNG dependents.
• Formulate and execute annual state-specific marketing plans.
• Serve as the adult lead sponsor for Maryland National Guard Youth Council.
• Identify, train and mentor youth delegates.
• Conduct life skills and resilience building activities for school-aged ARNG dependents.
