Job summary

Maryland Military Department seeks a Child and Youth Program Coordinator to support the CYS program under a cooperative agreement with the MD National Guard. This position is 100% federally funded and follows a compressed work schedule, with occasional weekend events for military activities.

Responsibilities include life skills and resilience training, deployment cycle support, youth council sponsorship, community outreach, and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years of administrative staff or professional experience.
• Substitutions: 30 college credit hours for one year of experience or a Bachelor's degree for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education and youth development for school-aged ARNG dependents.
• Formulate and execute annual state-specific marketing plans for CYS.
• Serve as adult lead sponsor for Maryland National Guard Youth Council.
• Identify, train and mentor youth delegates.
• Conduct life skills and resilience activities for ARNG dependents ages 6–18.

Education
