Job summary

The Maryland Military Department seeks a Lead Child and Youth Program Coordinator to oversee the statewide CYS program under a federal cooperative agreement. This role manages staff, budgets, and regulatory compliance across deployment and steady-state periods.

The position is contractual and entirely funded by federal sources, with a compressed work schedule (Tue–Fri, 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and possible weekend duties for military events. CAC and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Administrative/program management experience preferred.
• Experience supervising contractual staff.
• Knowledge of DoD/Army/NGB regulations related to youth services.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, organize and review the work of the contractual CYS staff.
• Supervise the Child and Youth Program Coordinator.
• Formulate, justify, and manage the annual State CYS budget, marketing plan and training plan.
• Serve as the SME on regulatory requirements for youth services, child abuse prevention and program directives.
• Direct inter-agency coordination with various entities.
