Job summary

Greater Vallejo Recreation District is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for Youth Services. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) focuses on planning, coordinating, and supervising youth programs, including before/after school activities, seasonal camps, and events.

You will report to the Recreation Coordinator and Supervisor and may supervise part-time staff and volunteers. The position requires availability Monday–Friday with occasional weekends for community events.

Qualifications

• Two years of college with studies in recreation or a related field.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience planning and supervising youth programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and supervising part-time youth staff.
• Support daily operations of youth programs, camps, and events.
• Use Civic Rec to manage registrations, attendance, and payments.
• Develop program curriculum and promotional materials.
