Job summary

Community Housing Opportunities Corp seeks a Youth Coordinator to plan and run a safe, engaging after-school program for children and youth in affordable housing communities in Davis, CA. This part-time onsite role is roughly 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends for events.

Qualifications

• Background clearances including DOJ/FBI fingerprinting required.
• CPR/First Aid certification current or obtainable within 90 days.
• Reliable transportation to travel to program locations.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in activities.
• Experience with children/youth in education, recreation, or community settings preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and affordable housing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging after-school activities for school-aged children and youth.
• Provide homework assistance and support educational enrichment activities.
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment that supports positive youth development.
• Implement age-appropriate recreational, SEL, and life skills activities.
• Maintain attendance records and complete required program documentation.
• Communicate with parents, caregivers, property management, and staff as appropriate.
• Prepare activity materials and maintain an organized program space.
• Support community events and family engagement activities as assigned.
• Ensure activities comply with policies and safety procedures.
• Represent the organization professionally and model positive behavior for youth.
