Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco — Mission Clubhouse is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to deliver engaging programming for members aged 6–18 in a part-time, in-person role.

Under supervision, you will facilitate activities across learning, arts, and recreation, manage positive youth behavior, and support daily operations and administrative tasks such as attendance tracking.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with youth 6–18 in a development setting.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with youth quickly.
• Strong behavior management and positive discipline skills with high expectations.
• Passion for diverse youth programming (technology, art, sports, academics, recreation).
• Excellent verbal, written communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with PC software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop).
• Detail-oriented self-starter who can follow systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, run, and support engaging educational, creative, and recreational activities (homework help, tutoring, drop-in games, tech/art/sports projects).
• Promote department membership to ensure participation in Learning Center activities.
• Inspire youth toward college, training, or career goals and safe, creative spaces.
• Assist with daily school pick-ups, meals, games room activities, and outdoor recreation.
• Record attendance and support administrative reporting under leadership guidance.
