Job summary

City of Saratoga Springs is seeking a Library Programming Associate to assist with planning, coordinating, and staffing library events, and to support children, teens, and adults with programming and circulation duties.

You will work under Library Assistant and Library Director, supervise volunteers, and help promote library services while maintaining high professional standards in a busy public library environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One semester of advanced coursework in early elementary education.
• Three years’ library experience, with six months working with children 0-8.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and staffing library events.
• Enter and retrieve data, create flyers, and other programming content.
• Supervise volunteers during shifts and evaluate their work.
• Support children's, youth, and adult reading programs and services.
• Coordinate outreach to schools and community; promote library use.
