Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago seeks a Program Coordinator to plan, organize, and implement youth programs for ages 5–12, promoting a safe, engaging environment aligned with academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.

You will develop lesson plans, monitor outcomes, recruit members, and document reports while collaborating in weekly staff meetings. CPR/First Aid within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field or combination of education/equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience working with youth ages 5–18.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success: create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes and promotes program participation.
• Develop and implement programs, services, and activities for youth ages 5–12; prepare lesson plans; maintain safety and quality of the Club.
• Recruit and retain members; monitor and evaluate programs; provide documentation to supervisor as requested.
• Supervise staff and participate in weekly staff meetings; lead in the Program Director's absence.
• Coordinate special programs/events and support administrative duties as needed.
