Job summary

Youth & Opportunity United Inc. in Evanston, IL seeks a Program Coordinator to support afterschool programming and help drive learning outcomes through collaboration with the Afterschool Program Manager.

You will assist with curriculum development, coordinate activities, engage families and schools, manage attendance and data, and help organize field trips and community events to strengthen youth development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary or middle school youth in educational settings or youth programs.
• Experience coordinating programs including academic, SEL, STEM and arts activities.
• Knowledge of embedding anti-racist frameworks in curricula and program culture.
• Strong communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development, implementation, and facilitation of high-quality programming.
• Collaborate with schools, families and community stakeholders to strengthen programs.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, and field trip planning for youth.
• Support attendance, enrollment data entry, and adherence to grant requirements.
• Coordinate visual communications and assist in program-related events and celebrations.
