Job summary

Youth Guidance in Chicago seeks a part-time program assistant to supervise before- and after-school students and support the Community Resource Coordinator with program delivery. You will help with homework, lead activities, promote the program's values, and communicate with parents in a school setting.

Must be reliable with strong communication and conflict-resolution skills; willingness to adapt to changing schedules and contribute to program improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive approach with projects and timely follow-through.
• Ability to understand CPS policies and school routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of students in before and after school programs.
• Promote the values of Youth Guidance and the assigned school.
• Maintain behavioral expectations for students per procedures.
• Collaborate on development and facilitation of programs and lesson plans.
• Assist students with homework and projects.
• Escort students to and from programs per schedule.
• Distribute program information and publications to promote programs.
• Support school day administration and staff; communicate with parents.
• Provide conflict resolution with children, parents, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
