Job summary

City of Evanston is seeking an After School Lead Instructor for the Robert Crown Community Center. This part-time, seasonal role runs after school with a 2:30pm-6pm schedule and occasional longer days during school breaks.

You will lead recreational activities, provide academic support, supervise safety, and collaborate with the Coordinator and other staff to create a fun, inclusive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to work as a team with instructors and staff.
• Strong communication with coordinators and participants.
• Commitment to safety and positive role modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement games, sports, arts & crafts, and academic support for participants.
• Communicate with the Coordinator and instructors about issues or ideas.
• Ensure safety during program activities and field trips.
• Complete all required training and follow policies.
• Be a positive, energetic role model and engage participants during camp days.
• Assist with discipline and emergencies as needed.
