The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Hawaii County seeks a Corps & Youth Program Assistant for Honokaa Corps. The role assists in planning, preparing and developing TSA youth programs, including Sunday School, after-school activities, YPL, camps and troops, under the supervision of Corps Officers.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and can operate MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Publisher.

• High school diploma and ability to learn Salvation Army policies.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
• Able to communicate via email and keep information confidential.
• Pass background checks and have a valid driver's license.
• Commitment to Christian ministry and values in practice.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and a team player.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation and leadership of Troops, Singing Company, Bible Bowl, Junior Soldiers, Corps Cadets, and Sunday School.
• Support homework labs and retired teachers or volunteers as needed.
• Plan youth events to expand ministry and invite the community.
• Supervise Divisional Youth Rally and Divisional Music Camp weekends.
• Help organize youth fundraising for camps, trips and YPL.
• Support family/school events for youth participants.
• Develop contests or incentives to increase youth programs.
• Make home visits to families to invite participation in church activities.
• Help expand volunteer opportunities within the youth department.
• Attend youth camps (on Oahu at Camp Homelani) when required.
• Assist in Back-to-School, Christmas Kettle, and Angel Tree campaigns.
• Maintain and report statistical data; perform other duties as assigned.
