Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a part-time Program Support role. The position focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, delivering programs to members and the community.

Under supervision, you will follow standard procedures, engage with members, assist with staff onboarding, scheduling and safety compliance, and help execute new program initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, program delivery or related experience.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with children and adults.
• Desire to work with children and families and the ability to relate to them in a positive, patient, sensitive and non-judgmental manner.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings.

Responsibilities

• Actively works within assigned program area, developing member relationships and engagement.
• Participates in program events, meetings and staff trainings.
• Supports the Program Director to ensure program areas comply with YMCA standards and maintains staff certifications.
• Monitors and evaluates program delivery and plans activity schedules.
• Assists with interviewing, onboarding and training new staff, including scheduling.
• Executes and implements new program initiatives.
• Supports marketing, records, registrations, and scheduling for programs.
• Identifies concerns and coordinates with the director to resolve them promptly.
• Assists in staffing, supplies and equipment planning for programs.
• Responds to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
• Assists in fund-raising activities and center events.
• Participates in the center’s CDLOD schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
