Job summary

Devereux seeks an Assistant Program Manager in Rutland, MA, offering Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat schedules. The role involves overseeing therapeutic interventions, collaborating with leadership to shape program vision, and helping plan and implement activities for youth in care.

Requirements include a high school diploma with relevant congregate care experience or a bachelor’s degree with experience, supervisory preference, MAPS certification or plan to obtain it, and a 2‑week orientation in Rutland, MA.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma with two years of congregate care experience or bachelor’s degree with one year of congregate care experience.
• Degrees in psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM in Rutland, MA.
• Must be MAPS certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision and a positive working environment.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
• Assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed.
• Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills.
• Passionate about working with and helping youth.
