Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking Direct Support/Care Professionals to work with youth in Rutland, MA. The role includes safeguarding youth, delivering therapeutic interventions, teaching ADLs, and documenting progress notes in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates should be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license, and complete MAP certification within 6 months. A 2-week paid orientation is required at Rutland, MA, before joining two programs with a split overnight schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• MAP certification required or obtainable within 6 months of employment.
• Attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Ensure safety and security of all youth by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching appropriate behaviors and providing positive reinforcement.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Maintain documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.
