Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a Site Coordinator in South Gate, CA to manage daily after-school operations. The role focuses on safety, inclusivity, and delivering high-quality programs while coordinating staff and activities for 10-20 participants daily.

The position is on-site, with training at the main office in Little Tokyo and site locations. Ideal candidates will have 1+ years supervising youth and a high school diploma, plus required certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• 1+ years’ experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• Experience in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance and current TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR certification (can be provided by Woodcraft Rangers).
• CPI Certification (can be provided by Woodcraft Rangers).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Must pass an assessment test evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment and promote inclusivity.
• Lead and coach the on-site team to deliver high-quality programs.
• Implement site protocols and safety regulations; provide training.
• Coordinate field trips and communicate details to parents/guardians.
• Maintain student attendance daily and manage staff schedules.
• Oversee staff timesheets and coverage as needed.
• Attend required staff trainings.
• Other related duties as assigned.
