Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks an Assistant Site Coordinator to support on-site logistics for after-school and enrichment programs in Rosemead, CA. The role centers on administrative duties, meal and field trip coordination, and acting as a primary contact for parents and staff.

The position is on-site, with training at the main office in Little Tokyo and at school sites. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, energetic, and able to work independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
• TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR certification (provided by WR).
• 6 months of experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school recreational setting OR 6 units in child development.
• Ability to use smart phone for work related business (WR provides Wi‑Fi/cell stipend).
• Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment and inclusive to all participants.
• Support the on-site team to deliver high-quality programs and customer service.
• Coordinate snacks and meals with the food services vendor and provide related training.
• Implement site protocols, safety regulations, and WR policies.
• Track compliance and submit attendance, surveys, and cycle reports on time.
• Remain current on safety training and certifications.
• Build relationships with participants, families, site staff and colleagues.
• Help plan culminating activities and end-of-week events.
• Attend off-site field trips if needed when Site Coordinator is unavailable.
• Participate in staff trainings across spring weekends.
