Job summary

Native American Health Center (NAHC) in Oakland, CA seeks a Program Manager I to lead the Community Wellness Department's grant programs across multiple sites. The role includes supervision of staff, development of culturally-informed prevention activities, and coordination with partners to improve youth engagement and community health.

The PM I will manage program operations, ensure funder compliance, and drive outcomes through strategic planning and team leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, or related human service field.
Two to four years work experience in community health or social service nonprofits.
Valid California Driver's License.
BLS/CPR certification preferred; vaccination requirements may apply.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Envision and manage a program team, setting goals and reporting outcomes.
Develop funding opportunities, curricula, projects, and approaches responsive to community needs.
Coordinate with senior stakeholders to align services across departments and ensure compliance.
Oversee grant administration, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to staff; foster youth engagement and community partnerships.
