Job summary

The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) seeks a Wendy's Wonderful Kid Specialist to support permanency for foster youth across five boroughs and surrounding counties. You will implement recruitment strategies, engage potential adoptive resources, and coordinate with partner agencies to advance cases toward permanency.

You will maintain data, prepare monthly caseload updates, and participate in cross-agency meetings, using the DTF model to guide practice and ensure safety and well-being

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related activities.
• High school graduation or equivalent and six years of related experience.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 with at least one year of experience as described.

Responsibilities

• Utilize DTF recruitment model to develop tailored strategies and prepare youth for permanency.
• Reach out to potential adoptive resources and connections, including family members.
• Engage in networking and thorough online searches to uncover leads.
• Analyze files to uncover possible leads to permanency.
• Develop recruitment strategies and prepare a child for adoption.
• Provide monthly caseload updates and quarterly evaluations with recruitment plans.
• Aid agencies in advancing cases toward permanency and facilitate team meetings.
• Facilitate DTF model-based training sessions on permanency.
