Job summary

The Wendy's Wonderful Kids (WWK) Caseworker drives permanency for children awaiting adoption by assessing readiness, identifying meaningful connections, and matching them with safe, supportive families. Using the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids model, the recruiter conducts targeted child-focused recruitment, engages kin and potential adoptive families, and builds public awareness through outreach and social media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services-related studies, or equivalent work history in human services.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field plus at least two years in a human services occupation.
• Associate’s degree in human services-related studies with relevant experience.
• Five years of employment in a human service–related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Drive permanency for children awaiting adoption by assessing readiness and identifying connections.
• Match children with safe, supportive adoptive families using the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids model.
• Engage kin and potential adoptive families and build public awareness through outreach and social media.
• Collaborate with caseworkers; maintain thorough documentation and grant-related reporting.
• Participate in National Adoption Month and other events; may require evenings and weekends to ensure prompt service delivery.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in human services-related studies, or

A bachelor’s degree in any field and have been employed for at least two years in a human services occupation, or

An associate’s degree in human services-related studies, or

Been employed for at least five years in a human service–related occupation.
