Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter to serve children in foster care in the New York area. The Recruiter will manage a caseload, collaborate with caseworkers and families, and participate in recruitment activities to identify permanent homes.

The role requires building relationships with children, families, and professionals, plus maintaining documentation and attending required trainings and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MSW preferred.
• 1–2 years of Case Work or Case Management experience in foster care.
• Approved background clearances and fingerprinting required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual abilities strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active caseloads of 12–15 children and an average total caseload of 18.
• Conduct initial referral services by establishing contact with the child’s caseworker and scheduling intake.
• Build relationships by meeting with each child in person at least monthly to build trust.
• Develop initial written adoption readiness assessments and update quarterly to guide the plan.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and reporting obligations as scheduled.
