Job summary

Hillside Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, seeks a Youth Pastor to shepherd 7th–12th graders, develop student leaders, and oversee the student ministry budget. You will collaborate with the Children’s Ministry and lead outreach events, retreats, and mission trips.

You will report to the Discipleship Pastor, supervise a part-time staffer, and have opportunities to preach in weekend gatherings throughout the year. A vibrant faith and a heart for discipleship are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a growing relationship with Jesus and align with Hillside Church's mission.
• Bachelor's degree from Bible college or seminary; ordination or willingness to pursue ordination.
• Experience in student ministry or significant ministry leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a gospel-centered student ministry for 7th–12th grade.
• Develop student leaders and disciple-making culture.
• Lead weekly student gatherings and partner with parents.
• Supervise a part-time youth staff member and manage the budget.
• Provide occasional preaching in main gatherings (2–3 times per year).
• Collaborate with Children’s Ministry for smooth transitions into student ministry.
• Coordinate retreats, trips, and evangelism initiatives.
• Build leadership culture and recruit/train volunteers.
