Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley, in collaboration with AmeriCorps, seeks a Program Assistant for the Home Base program to provide outreach, support, and advocacy for youth and families affected by housing insecurity.

This AmeriCorps position offers a one-year term (Sept 2026–Aug 2027) with flexible day hours; living allowances range by full-time, three-quarter, or half-time service, and an education award upon completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Interest or experience in Social Services and/or Human Services is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, support, and advocacy for youth and families facing housing challenges.
• Conduct crisis intervention and response, hotline support, and street/community outreach.
• Support basic needs, prevention services, and advocacy activities as part of the Home Base program.
