Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley is seeking a Youth Development Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year at the Manitowoc Branch and Washington Middle School. This part-time role supports after-school and Teen Center activities for youth ages 6–18, providing guidance and safe, engaging programs.

You will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities in academics, arts and crafts, physical education, health and wellness, and character development, while promoting safety, inclusion,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
• Ability to work with youth ages 6–18 in various environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, parents, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities across academic, computer lab, arts and crafts, physical education, character and citizenship, and health/wellness.
• Promote safety and quality in programs; guide and model appropriate behavior.
• Coordinate, promote and stimulate participation in programs.
• Maintain a healthy, safe environment and supervise members.
• Prepare periodic activity reports and record participation numbers.
• Gather equipment before activities and engage members consistently.
