Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley (BGCFV) invites applications for a Youth Development Specialist for the Appleton area, focusing on planning, implementing and supervising youth programs across multiple sites for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role involves promoting safety, guiding youth (ages 6-18) in diverse activities and ensuring active participation with after-school and teen center options. Part-time hours align with school days and programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club personnel, parents and Board.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating activities across academic, arts, physical education and health programs.
• Coordinate, promote and stimulate participation in programs at the Club.
• Ensure a safe environment and supervise members during activities.
• Prepare equipment and materials needed for programs and activities.
• Record participation numbers for programs.
