Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley is seeking a Youth Advocate to support youth with behavioral challenges and promote positive participation in Club programs. The role involves hands-on work with members, families, and staff under the Behavioral Support Services Director.

The position includes supervising the Sensory Room, delivering small group SEL activities, and applying trauma-informed practices while fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across Branch programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred but not required.
• At least two years of experience with at-risk children, youth, and families.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and social emotional learning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support Club members’ behavioral challenges one-on-one.
• Oversee daily operations of the Sensory Room.
• Facilitate Sensory Room sessions with Club members.
• Lead small group programs to support Social Emotional Learning.
• Develop goals with members to promote participation and positive behaviors.
