Job summary

The Salvation Army in Milwaukee is seeking a music instructor to plan and teach lessons aligned with program guidelines and Chad Smith Foundation expectations. You will develop curriculum, coordinate recitals, and conduct structured sessions for youth ranging from 9 to 18 years old, in small cohorts, while supporting program metrics and communications with families.

Responsibilities include maintaining a positive learning environment, reporting attendance, and participating in required trainings

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of experience as a performing/practicing musician.
• Instructs beginner to advanced students and coordinates events.
• Ability to develop and manage music curriculum and sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assembles semester-long curriculum syllabus for instrument or voice.
• Coordinates recitals and performances for classes and jam sessions.
• Conducts 35-minute lessons for beginners/intermediates and 50-minute sessions for advanced levels.
