Job summary

Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center – Chicago is seeking a part-time General Music Instructor to teach introductory group music classes for ages 6–14 in the after-school program and summer day camp. You will develop curriculums, assessments, and collaborate with community partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Music, and 3 years of teaching experience (5 preferred). Familiarity with Kodaly, Dalcroze, or Orff methods is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent qualified performance experience.
• Three years teaching experience required; five years preferred.
• Evidence of curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach group music lessons for after-school and summer programs with exploratory focus.
• Design and implement curriculum, assessments, and lesson plans; report outcomes.
• Develop community partnerships for music programming.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts; attend staff meetings.
• Willing to teach additional classes/workshops as needed.
