Job summary

Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Chicago is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor to lead classes, develop curricula, and assess student progress within the Kroc Arts & Education Department.

The role collaborates with schools and community partners, recruits participants, and supports positive youth engagement under The Salvation Army policies. Teaching schedule is flexible but requires timely class starts.

Qualifications

• Three years required, five years preferred of teaching experience.
• Provide a record of dance performance experience.
• Evidence of experience in curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance classes.
• Design and implement curriculum, assessment rubrics, and lesson plans; provide activity summaries to Kroc Fine Arts Director.
• Develop and implement collaborative partnerships for dance programming with schools and organizations.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts as directed by Arts and Education Director.
• Attend assigned staff meetings and teach additional classes/workshops as needed.
• Follow The Salvation Army policies and procedures.
