Job summary

Harper College Community Music and Arts Center seeks an Early Years Music Instructor to lead engaging group classes for children ages 0-7. The role starts in Fall 2026 (contingent on enrollment) and requires evening and weekend hours, plus attendance at student recitals and performances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music education, early childhood music, or related field; formal training in early music pedagogy required.
  • Proven experience teaching group classes to young children (0-7years).
  • Passion for diverse learners; bilingual/multilingual skills strongly preferred (e.g., Mandarin/Cantonese, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, etc.) to serve our multicultural community.
  • Excellent communication, positive attitude, and responsiveness to emails/inquiries from coordinators and families.
  • Commitment to lifelong musical development and high instructional standards.
  • Ability to teach related instruments is a plus.
