Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to run engaging activities for youth and teens, aligned with our three priority outcomes: academic success, good character, and healthy lifestyles. The role emphasizes mentoring, supervision, and creating safe, supportive environments.

The YDP works a 25-hour week with a Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screening.
• 21 years and over and able to drive 15-passenger vans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities for youth ages 6-12 and 13-18.
• Transport youth in Club vehicles for pickups and field trips.
• Promote engagement and attendance in programs.
• Provide mentoring and leadership development support to members.
• Supervise actively and interact with members throughout activities.
• Submit lesson plans, attendance and paperwork.
• Plan events such as guest speakers or field trips.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and attend trainings.
