Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to partner with AmeriCorps, delivering STEM and academic activities for youth ages 8-12, and supporting a safe, engaging club experience.

The role requires energy, strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage tasks, and willingness to drive 15-passenger vans. Schedule is Monday-Friday afterschool hours; compensation includes $15-$17/hour and an Education Award of $1,565 upon program completion.

Qualifications

• High-energy, loud settings with large groups of youth.
• Ability to manage tasks in a detailed, timely manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with youth, peers, parents and community.
• Pass background check, MVR check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily STEM/academic activities for ages 8-12.
• Transport youth in Club vehicles for pickups and field trips.
• Ensure engagement and promote consistent attendance.
• Mentor youth and provide supportive role modeling.
• Submit lesson plans, attendance and paperwork on time.
• Plan events such as guest speakers or field trips.
• Abide by safety policies and participate in trainings.
