Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support children and adolescents in the Joshua Center Program at Natchaug Hospital. You will collaborate with clinicians to create a safe, therapeutic environment, facilitate activities, and help clients reach their treatment goals.

Occasional transportation between sites is required. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required.
• Current driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• Ability to obtain a Public Service License "A" Endorsement within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical examination, and background checks.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must maintain a reliable telephone number for scheduling and communication purposes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities and run group meetings with 10-12 clients.
• Support clients' treatment goals and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Daily case note documentation and transportation using company vehicles between school and the Joshua Center Program and home.

Education
