Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Natchaug Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Mental Health Worker to provide therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents within an interdisciplinary treatment team. You will facilitate daily groups and support transportation for program participants using company vehicles.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years related experience, and a CT driver's license with a clean record; you may pursue a Public Service License 'A' Endorsement within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
• 2 years related experience required.
• Current CT Driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 3 consecutive years.
• Ability to obtain a Public Service License "A" Endorsement within 90 days of hire, which requires ability to pass pre-hire drug screen and DOT physical.
• Must have and maintain a telephone number for scheduling.
• Computer proficiency and keyboarding skills required.

• Provide transportation from school to the Joshua Center program, and then to the student’s home using company vehicles.

Program SummaryNatchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as 5 and as old as 18 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Services Include: Comprehensive assessment, which may include: Comprehensive aftercare planning, family, group, and individual therapy, occupational and creative rehabilitation therapy. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program, and then to the student’s home.
