Job summary

Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch is seeking a Program Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team serving youth across Montana. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group, and family therapy in school, community, and home settings.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, Montana licensure eligibility, and the ability to work with funding agencies. Telehealth capabilities and crisis intervention experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Background check including criminal and child abuse registry as required by Montana.
• Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited university (60 Credit Hour Program).
• License requirements: Program Therapist 1 or 2 (Montana SWLC/PCLC/MFLC etc).
• License to operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group and family therapy in school, community, and home settings, preserving financial viability of the program.
• Conducts mental health clinical assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Engages with parents/guardians and youth to promote engagement and adherence.
• Willing to provide telehealth and in-person sessions as needed.
• Intervenes calmly in crisis to ensure safety.
• Completes initial assessments, treatment plans, notes, and documentation to PQI standards.
• Maintains communication with treatment team and participates in meetings.
• Participates in peer supervision and coordinates with schools and community agencies.
• Maintains knowledge of Montana Medicaid and YBGR licensure rules.
