Job summary

This hourly clerical role reports to the Youth Librarian and may float between areas to support programs and daily operations.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Cash handling experience with a cash drawer, register, or card machine.
- Proficiency with computers, the internet, MS Office, email, and library software.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly customer service and assist with finding library materials.
- Assist with use of public computers, devices, and office equipment.
- Maintain accurate customer accounts and process updates.
- Help locate information using the library website and digital resources.
- Shelve materials, manage returns, and maintain orderly spaces.
- Assist with library events, setup, cleanup, and crowd control.
- Operate POS and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Promote library programs and services to patrons.
