The YMCA of Western North Carolina seeks a Teen Leadership Development Coordinator to expand youth leadership across Buncombe and McDowell counties. You will design curricula, recruit volunteers, and run Leaders Clubs and Youth & Government while guiding service-learning projects.

This full-time role requires building partnerships with schools and community groups, delivering programs in mornings and afternoons, and supporting summer camp initiatives across multiple sites.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two years of relevant professional experience working with middle and high school youth.
• Must pass the NCDHHS background check.
• Regular Tuesday–Saturday schedule with occasional Sundays for Youth & Government travel.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Youth Mental Health First Aid within 90 days of hire.
• Willing to obtain lifeguard certification and Wilderness First Aid before summer.

Aufgaben

• Facilitates Leaders Clubs in Buncombe and McDowell counties, in morning and afternoon formats.
• Develops and maintains leadership curriculum for Leaders Club, Youth & Government, and teen leadership camps.
• Recruits students and adult volunteers, tracks enrollment and attendance.
• Plans and coordinates teen leadership summer camp and Adventure Day Camp programs.
• Coordinates Youth & Government delegations and conference travel.
